Built by Chinese electronic vehicle maker Xpeng, the flying car is lifted by eight propellers – two at each corner of the vehicle.
Just yesterday, the internet was shocked as videos of a flying car became viral. The car was spotted flying over Dubai and received appreciation for its looks and mechanics. Built by a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer named Xpeng, the car is called the X2.
The X2 was taking its first public flight in Dubai and was admired by a number of people that gathered to watch it fly. With plans to launch in the international markets, Dubai surely was the best place for introducing the car.
With a small yet intriguing look, the X2 has received a lot of love online. But what’s equally special about the car is its mechanics. The X2 is a two-seater electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft which is powered by 8 propellers. Two propellers are placed at each corner of the vehicle thus giving it its balance.
The X2 flew through the sky for almost 90 minutes and landed successfully after that. The landing was carried on with a celebration. Minguan Qiu, general manager of Xpeng Aeroht while speaking about the test flight said that it was an“important base for the next generation of flying cars.”
“We are making step-by-step (moves) to the international market. First we select Dubai city because Dubai is the most innovative city in the world”, said Minguan Qiu while speaking about the company’s future plans.
Who would have thought that something that only existed in sci-fi movies would become a reality. According to Mr Qiu, we can expect flying cars to normalize by the year 2025. What’s important to note is that these cars will only exist in the richest of cities. This is because the car due to its high costs can only be afforded by high-net-worth individuals or millionaires.
