Yemen ravaged by coronavirus — intensifying world’s worst humanitarian crisis – BBC News
Covid-19 has brought Yemen’s health system to a complete collapse according to the medical charity Doctors Without Borders.
The number of deaths in the country — which was already wracked by civil war — is almost impossible to determine.
Yemen was already facing the world’s worst humanitarian crisis — after years of conflict between its Houthi rebels and the internationally-recognised government.
The rebels are backed by Iran while a coalition led by Saudi Arabia and supported by the United States and the UK backs the government.
Sophie Raworth presents BBC News at Ten reporting from Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet.
