Women of Saudi Arabia Can Now Join the Military
The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Prince Muhammad bin Salman is a huge driving force behind the “Vision 2030” reform programme that aims to increase the role of women in the workforce by a one-third by October. With the latest reforms taking place such as women being able to drive, being allowed to start their own businesses without the permission of a male guardian, another one has been added to the list.
The Saudi General Security Division issues a statement saying that women of Saudi Arabia can now join the military at soldier positions. The policy change will take effect in many of Saudi governorates including Riyadh, Makkah, al-Qusaim, and al Madina.
