Witnesses Come Forward to Talk About What Went Down Between Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar

After the allegations made against Ali Zafar by Meesha Shafi came to light and she talked about how Zafar had harassed her during a jam session in preparation of a concert at his home late last year, many people have come forward to bear witness to the incident. The details of the incident are beign cleared up slowly but surely. Aqsa Ali is one of Ali Zafar’s band members and was also present at the time Meesha talked about. She bore witness to what actually happened between the two singers and posted on Instagram:
She mentions how a lot of people, including herself, were there and that as a woman she would never stand for such behavior. Ali mentions that she has traveled internationally with Ali many times and that his female fans throw themselves at him but he has always remained respectful. She says that she did not witness any such harassment taking place as accused by Shafi, and that if she had then she would’ve put a stop to it immediately. She mentions in the caption, “Accusing someone is easy but living with the guilt is difficult. As a woman I felt sad with her rude behaviour towards everyone including the band but more I feel bad that she’s causing disrespect to this Intl movement of women and all of us female musicians and hard working women.”
Another band member who was present during the aforementioned jam session that took place at Zafar’s home late last year, Kanza Munir, has also come forward with her side of the story regarding what happened that night. She mentions that Zafar has always remained a gentleman with his female costars and artists. She said, “It would be great if this important movement isn’t taken for granted or misused for personal reasons stealing limelight from real causes. Rest, time will tell!!”
