‘The Donkey King’ Proves Pakistan Does Not Need Disney
Disney and Pixar are the moguls of animation as considered by the whole world. But last year proved that Pakistan is also rising up to the level with animated movies like The Legend of Markhor and Allahyar. They did amazingly at the box office unexpectedly. The new flick The Donkey King, which is a collaboration among Talisman Studios and Geo Films, shows that Pakistan is more than talented at creating great animated movies.
The teaser trailer shows the Donkey, Mangu Mangu Jan Mangu, who is a dreamer. He wants to become something instead of just living the life he already has. The movie is bound to inspire young people to dream and work hard for those dreams.
The director of the film, Aziz Jindani, said “I was working with Commander Safeguard team back in 2013. That’s when the idea of an animated film that can be relevant to not only kids but adults as well. A story that is appropriate for all ages.”
He also described what the Donkey is like, “Mangu is a dreamer. He is adamant to change his life and not live with what he’s born with. That’s what makes the film special.” The film is slated to release on October 13th later this year and will inspire you to dream big and make them come true.
