Trigger Warning: Suicide, in Makkah
On Friday, which was most probably the last Friday of Ramadan, a man committed suicide in Makkah. A Holy place, a very holy month and the holy day of that month, the person still couldn’t find peace. The assumption of most of the people that praying can cure all your mental distress hence is not true.
The person is identified as 21-year-old French national, named ‘Azzouz Boutobba.’ The news was extremely heart wrenching. The news triggered the same debate over the internet that whether or not mental-illness can be cured from praying. While there are many people who do find peace in prayers and seeking God’s help when in distress, however, it is not always the case. Most times the illness needs medicines, doctors and most importantly human connection.
A person in distress needs someone to listen and understand and empathize with them not sympathize or be sorry for them. But most of the times what we do is to push people to seek God’s help without realizing its human’s job first to help those in distress.
Apart from mental illness people are also trying to mention other possible reasons. Such as he could be thinking that it is virtuous to die in Makkah or he could be a Sihr.
A video being spread of a man who has jumped off the tawaaf ring area in Makkah & died
Before we pass silly judgements like how hes committed suicide & he’s sinful, make excuses
1. Maybe he had mental illness
2. Could be sihr
3. Could have thought its virtuous to die in Makkah

There can be many possible reasons that have triggered such sad incident. But no matter how sad the news is we never lag behind when it comes to judging people. It’s like Muslims are ever ready to judge people for their every action and give religion as their reason. Well then to all these people, before judging someone for his/her deeds, please have a thorough look at your personality and your actions and let me know if you find yourself a perfect Muslim. I bet you cannot!Disclaimer:We do not allow users to post content which is copyright and We take strict actions against the users who post infringement content on our website.Although we do not host any content, users post embed videos from youtube, facebook, Dailymotion and Vimeo and are moderated before posting but we still take strict action against the copyright videos posted. If you are an official representative of any company whose videos are posted illegally on our website or you think some video infringe the copyright then you can simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
