Samsung’s New Smartphone Does Not Connect to the Internet
Samsung launched its latest smartphone the Galaxy J2 Pro last week. It has a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixels rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, Super AMOLED display and 2600 mAh battery. It sounds great but there is one big catch. The phone has been made to not be able to connect to the internet in any way like Wi-Fi connections, 3G, LTE etc.
“Galaxy J2 Pro supports basic usability such as phone, message, and camera, but it is a product that blocks mobile data such as 3G, LTE, and Wi-Fi, and needs to focus on learning and needs of senior users who are sensitive to data charges”, was stated in a press release.
You can use the phone for basic tasks like messaging, calling or taking pictures but that is about it. The phone was created for older users who find data connection to be a nuisance more than useful. It can also be helpful for those young people who find social media or internet distracting. With the price at $185, it will be intriguing to see if it catches on or flops.
