Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) organization’s president Alok Kumar said in a statement, “We will not allow Loveratri’s exhibition in cinema halls in the country. We don’t want the sentiments of Hindus to be hurt. The film is set against the backdrop of Navratri, a Hindu festival, and the name distorts its meaning.”
The movie’s name refers to the Hindu festival ‘Navratri’ which celebrates their goddess Durga. Apparently, naming the movie with a play on the word is offensive and other actors have also been filed a complaint against. Salman Khan has not responded to the situation yet.
