Salman Khan Convicted in 1998 Blackbuck Poaching Case

The 1998 blackbuck poaching in which Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu were accused of hunting blackbucks in a village of Jodhpur during filming of their movie Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998. The trial court of Jodhpur announced the conviction of Salman Khan while the others were acquitted.
District Presiding Officer Devkumar Khatri announced the conviction while the sentencing is still being held off and quantum of punishment is not revealed as of yet. Salman Khan had pleaded innocence stating that he was being framed and the buck had died of natural causes.
