Pakistani Travels Across Country on a Bicycle in 186 Days
Abdur Rehman Palwa is from Lahore who has done something quite spectacular. Palwa paddled across the country on his bicycle in 186 days. He started his brave venture from Lahore in October of 2017 and it ended in Islamabad after 186 days.
His first stop was Rawalpindi which took him 13 days to reach. Then his stops included Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata). He even took 20 days to spend in Dera Ismail Khan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Waziristan. He then made his way to Gwadar, Qila Saifullah and Mastong in Balochistan. He then spent 38 days in Sindh travelling to Karachi, Thar, Hyderabad and Kashmore. His whole journey was estimatedly 21, 650 km long.
Another adventurous feat was him cycling up Shandoor Top which is located as high as 12,000 feet which he admitted was quite challenging to do. His main objective was to break the Guinness World Record of “Longest journey by bicycle in a single country” which is currently held by an Indian.
