Muniba Mazari’s Sued by Her Ex-Husband for Defamation
Muniba Mazari has been very vocal about how her relationship with her husband soured after the accident that took away her ability to walk. Her ex-husband Khurram Shahzad who used to be a PAF pilot has now sued her for such remarks on charges of defamation. They had been married from 2005 till 2015 when Mazari filed for divorce after the accident stating that he had not been supportive or sympathetic towards her after she had been hospitalized.
Shahzad seeks to stop Mazari from making such comments which portray him as a selfish, cruel man who left her alone in her misery when he says that is not the truth. She had also stated in the past that he had even been unfaithful during their marriage, a claim which Shahzad denies. The details of the accident which Mazari provided claimed that the accident took place because he fell asleep while driving and then left her alone after it had occurred.
According to the petition filed in Islamabad court, “[Shahzad] falling asleep while driving’ is purely based on falsehood in order to ridicule the plaintiff, as the truth is that the accident occurred due to a donkey cart. The statement is completely untrue as the plaintiff was inside the car while the accident took place.”
Shahzad is only seeking for Mazari to pay legal fees, issue an official apology and delete all previous such remarks that paint him in a negative light. He has also petitioned for PEMRA and PTA to censor any such comments made my Mazari in the future on TV or online.Disclaimer:We do not allow users to post content which is copyright and We take strict actions against the users who post infringement content on our website.Although we do not host any content, users post embed videos from youtube, facebook, Dailymotion and Vimeo and are moderated before posting but we still take strict action against the copyright videos posted. If you are an official representative of any company whose videos are posted illegally on our website or you think some video infringe the copyright then you can simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
