Loose Cigarettes Can No Longer Be Sold in Pakistan

The Ministry of National Health Services and Regulations recommended a ban of loose cigarettes being sold all over the country and it has been approved by the federal cabinet. The ministry’s spokesperson said that no longer can any vendor or retailer sell loose cigarettes that have been taken out of the pack across the country.
The ministry of national health had been striving to put a ban on sale of loose cigarettes for the last two years.
The ban had been recommended back in Decembe rof 201 by Senate’s Standing Committee on National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination. They also recommended banning open smoking of sheesha in the country to discourage the unhealthy habit amongst the citizens.
