Indian Singer Daler Mehndi Convicted of Human Trafficking
The singer Daler Mehndi was convicted of human trafficking by a local court of Punjab, India. He has been taken into custody by the Punjab Police. His brother, Shamsher Singh, and him had been charging people to illegally transfer them to US by pretending to be a part of their group.

According to reports, they had been doing this since 1998 and had transported many people to places like New Jersey and San Francisco. This case is however being based on a conviction of human trafficking in 2003.
