At the age of 18, Shahid Afridi scored his first test century. That made him the 7th youngest player to score a hundred in a test match.

Second fastest to score a test fifty:

Shahid Afridi scored 2nd fastest fifty against India and made 2nd fastest fifty. In 2005, he scored 50 runs in just 26 balls.

Second most highest run in just one over:

In Lahore 2006 against India in Lahore 2006, Shahid Afridi smashed 27 runs to Harbajan Singh setting record of second highest run in an over.

Consecutive sixes in an over:

Harbajan was encountered by 4 sixes in the same match that made Shahid Afridi to make another record to score most sixes in an over in a test match.

3rd fastest ODI century:

In 1996, Shahid Afridi scored his first hundred against Srilanka. He scored a century in just 37 balls making him a player to score 3rd fastest hundred in ODI.

Youngest player to score a century in ODI:

He was 16 years old when he scored his first century against Srilanka. That made him the youngest player to score a century.

He is one the player who smashed most sixes in ODI’s.Boom Boom smashed more than 351 Sixes in his incredible ODI career.

Longest six ever:

Shahid Khan Afridi scored 158 meters  longest six against South Africa in the 3rd match of ODI series. Ryan McLaren had just bowled Afridi but it was called a no-ball meant a free hit for one of the biggest hitters in world cricket.

Most man of the match awards by any Pakistani Cricketer:

He is the only Pakistani player to get most man of the match awards. 32 times in his career to be exact. 5th overall in the history of One-days.

He Scored more than 8019 runs at a strike-rate of 116.86 per 100 balls. (Minimum qualification for this record 1000 ODI runs) making himself the player who has 2nd highest strike rate in one day international.

Sixth highest wicket taker in ODI’s:

Afridi took more than 395 wickets in his long career. His prominent performance was against West-Indies where he took 7 wickets in just 12 balls.

Most wickets in single world cup as Captain

In ODI Worldcup 2011, Afridi made another wolrd record. He took 22 wickets during the WC. That was the most number of wickets by any captain in history of ODI World Cups.

Only player who took 350 wicket and scored 8,000 runs.

With more than 8,000 runs in ODI’s, and 395 wickets. Shahid Afridi is the only player in the history of ODI who achieved this milestone. Sanath Jayasuriya is the 2nd in list with 323 wickets and 13,430 runs.

Player who took 5 wicket + score a fifty three time.

Shahid Afridi has done this magic three times in his career. Against England, Srilanka and West Indies he took 5 Wickets and Scored a Half Century.
