Faysal Quraishi’s ‘Baba Jani’ Gets Record Number of Views
Actor Faysal Quraishi is no stranger to popularity since his shows garner a lot of attention and love from fans as well as critics. As seen with his 2012 hit Bashar Momin, which earned the actor a lot of critical appraise and appreciation. His latest hit seems to have taken off with just one episode on air.
The first episode of his latest drama Baba Jani earned an impressive number of 1+ million views on Geo TV’s official YouTube channel since it was first uploaded on 8th September.
“The story revolves around the male protagonist Asfand, he is a mid-aged, well-mannered, simple and sophisticated man of character who lost his parents at an early age. Since the sad demise of his parents Asfand accepted to bear the entire responsibility of his sisters, Najiba, Naila and Nabila. Asfand was already coping up with the anomalies of life, when in a very unfavorable situation he met Sadia, an elderly aged woman with a young and beautiful daughter Nimra. Initially Nimra dislikes Asfand but due to his kindness and sincerity she accepted him as Baba Jani. Life was never easy for Asfand, the sensitivity of his relationship with her step-daughter Nimra is not approved by the society and hence the suffering continues.”
The plot line of the tv show is definitely a serious issue that need to be talked about since our present-day society is unfortunately still not as welcoming to the idea. A father’s love should not be measured with the DNA that either connects him with his children or not.
