Coronavirus: safety at work rules create new challenges for companies – BBC News
More than 7 weeks after restrictions were imposed to stop the spread of coronavirus, some people in England are being encouraged to return to work.
The government guidelines say they should do so if it is safe. Many companies are facing a difficult new challenge in reorganising workplaces to keep to the rules.
Meanwhile the European Commission has issued new guidelines on tourism and travel for EU member states, as they ease the coronavirus lockdown.
When the time comes, they will begin with allowing in seasonal workers. Restrictions will then be relaxed between regions where the virus is under similar levels of control.
Huw Edwards presents BBC News at Ten reports on the challenge in workplaces in England from Business Correspondent Emma Simpson. And reports on the EU’s plans on tourism and travel from Europe Editor Katya Adler in Brussels, Damian Grammaticas in Madrid and Mark Lowen in Rome.
