Chinese Woman Marches for Husband
Li Wenzu’s husband is a Chinese lawyer who was detained in August 2015 during a crackdown throughout the whole nation that took 200 activists that were fighting for their rights. The crackdown is now termed as the “709” crackdown by the locals in which people fought against the President Xi Jinping’s policies.
Li Wenzu has begun a march of more than 100km (62 miles) going to Tianjin from Beijing for her husband and bring him home. The distressed wife wants to find answers as to what happened to her husband and if he is even alive. She said, “[They have] abused all of our rights. Arresting an innocent person like this, locking him up for almost 1,000 days, I think this is cruel. It’s heartless.”
She is being accompanied on this 12-day walk by Wang Qiaoling whose husband was a rights lawyer and got suspended last April. Hopefully, she will get the answers she is looking for and her husband is returned to her safe and secure.Disclaimer:We do not allow users to post content which is copyright and We take strict actions against the users who post infringement content on our website.Although we do not host any content, users post embed videos from youtube, facebook, Dailymotion and Vimeo and are moderated before posting but we still take strict action against the copyright videos posted. If you are an official representative of any company whose videos are posted illegally on our website or you think some video infringe the copyright then you can simply send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
