Since the last Charlie’s Angels movie hit our screens 14 years ago, it has remained an iconic movie of its time. Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore portrayed the Angels perfectly and left us all wanting to be like them. But in 2017 rumors of a reboot in works started circling, with the names of Lupita Nyong’o and Kristen Stewart attached as possible cast members.

Turns out, Elizabeth Banks, who will be directing the movie, has decided to play the character of Bosley who works with the Angels on behalf of Charlie. Power Rangers star Naomi Scott and Kristen Stewart have been confirmed to play two of the Angels, while Lupita is still in talks to play the third Angel.

The movie is set to come out next year in June. With the influx of reboots with a complete female cast such as Ghostbusters and Oceans 8, we hope that this remake will also be a smashing hit that will leave another empowering mark on the charts.
