American Playwright Neil Simon Dies at 91
Famous American playwright Neil Simon has died of pneumonia at age 91 in New York City. The playwright earned popularity in the 1960s for his comedies on screen and stage like Barefoot In The Park and The Odd Couple. Robert Redford, star of Barefoot In The Park said, “Some say he’s the most successful playwright since Shakespeare.”
Simon was a prolific author who even won a Pulitzer Prize for Dram with his play Lost in Yonkers. He also wrote famous musicals like Sweet Charity and They’re Playing Our Song. Actor Josh Gad of Frozen tweeted his tribute for the author:
