Pakistan Football Team Wins After 44 Years in Asian Games 2018
It has been a difficult road for the Pakistan football team due to many reasons including lack of resources, fund and platform. But Asian Games is the one place where we can prove ourselves as a formidable opponent to any teams. Their first match against Vietnam ended terribly in 3-0 which did not prove to be a good start for the team.
The team also lost their second match which was against Japan, 4-0 on Thursday.
But things turned around for Pakistan when they won their first match in the Asian Games in 44 years against Nepal, 2-1 in Indonesia on Sunday. This win raised the hopes of the team moving onto the knock-out round. It was made possible by Muhammad Bilal’s goal at the 54th minute and then Captain Saddam Hussain’s penalty in the 72nd minute.
