Pakistan Cricket Team Donates Rs. 3.2 Million for Dam Fund
After PM Imran Khan appealed to Pakistanis in the country and abroad to contribute to the dams fund so the country can fix the water crisis and not deal with a drought in the next seven years, many influential personalities stepped up to help the country.
The national cricket team Captain Sarfraz Ahmed announced at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore that the Asia Cup squad would be donating Rs. 3.2 million for the dams fund. “The public should actively contribute in dam fund, it would benefit the country,” he said. “Pakistani cricket team has contributed Rs 3.2 million in dam fund.”
The Pakistan umpire Aleem Dar also announced his major donation earlier. “I have decided to contribute $10,000 for the dams fund initiative,” he said in a video message.
The Supreme Court has ordered authorities to start constructing the dams while asking the people of the country to help out and contribute.
