New Michael Jackson Music?
Rapper Drake has just released his double album Scorpion which features 25 new tracks profiling his life, career, and aspects of celebrity life. The most spotlight-grabbing might be “Emotionless”, a soulful track featuring a sample from Mariah Carey, where he addresses fellow rapper Pusha T’s claims about him having a son, a fact that was previously unknown.
He raps, “I wasn’t hiding my kid from the world. I was hiding the world from my kid.”
Btu there is another track that has surprised listeners because it features new Michael Jackson music. The track “Don’t Matter To Me” features vocals from the King of Pop himself that appear to have come from previously unreleased music.
“All of a sudden you say you don’t want me no more. All of a sudden you say that I closed the door… It don’t matter to me.” sings Jackson himself.
Paul Anka is listed as a co-writer on the track – dating it to 1983, when he collaborated with Jackson for his album Walk a Fine Line.
Seems like the music of the legendary pop artist will keep being alive even after nine years of his untimely and tragic death that left the world mourning and devastated.
