Black Panther’s Sister Shuri Getting Her Own Spin-Off Comics
We all fell in love with Black Panther‘s little sister in the movie who is not only a genius that could make Tony Stark sweat but also quite adorable. We would have to wait a really long time to see the character back on screen but that doesn’t mean we won’t see her at all.
The tech genius will be getting her very own spin-off comic series by Marvel Comics this October that will focus on how she deals with being the one left behind after her brother, the King, goes missing in space. The official synopsis says “Shuri is happiest in a lab, surrounded by gadgets of her own creation. She’d rather be testing gauntlets than throwing them. But a nation without a leader is a vulnerable one — and Shuri may have to choose between Wakanda’s welfare and her own.”
Nigerian-American author Nnedi Okorafor, whose novel Who Fears Death got optioned for development by George R.R. Martin and HBO, will be working alongside artist Leonardo Romero. Okorafor also worked on comic Black Panther: Long Live The King and the Wakanda Forever series.
