10 Things You Might Not Have Known About ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’
The Netflix teen romance To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before has captured the hearts of many with its heartfelt and genuinely nice storyline of teenagers that young people can actually relate with. If you have also fallen in love with the cute movie based on the novel by Jenny Han then you would definitely appreciate these facts you might not have known:
1. The popcorn scene was improvised by Noah Centineo
— Reid Nakamura (@reidnakamura) August 18, 2018
As if there was not already many things to love about the guy, Noah improvised the scene to remove the popcorn before he pillow fights with Lara Jean’s younger sister Kitty so it wouldn’t spill and create a mess. How sweet.
2. The back-pocket spin scene was also improvised
The infamous scene where Peter spins Lara Jean using her back pocket has now become one of the best scenes of the movie. You would love to know that the scene was improvised by Noah Centineo who seems to love improvising great scenes.

The British musician also made an appearance. A fan spotted the back cover of Styles’ album in the mess that was Lara Jean’s room.
4. Lara Jean’s lockscreen
The cute picture on Lara Jean’s lockscreen was actually a behind the scenes photo taken by a crew member. “The two of them were in the green room on set at the high school location, in the area where we put the actors. They actually were sleeping on the couch in that room like that, so we just stood over them and took that picture and it’s so friggin’ cute.” Can we love these two anymore?
5. Lana and Noah’s first meeting
Even though the co-stars are best friends now, their first meeting was quite awkward. As Noah said, “[Lana and I] were both auditioning for [the movie]. Neither one of us were attached yet, and I remember sitting in the audition room. I wanted to run lines with someone because I hadn’t run it yet. So I was like, ‘Hey, do you want to run lines?’ to Lana. It was just us two in the waiting room, and she was like, ‘No, no thanks!
6. Noah was almost cast as Josh Sanderson
The director wasn’t sure how to cast Noah Centineo and Israel Broussard but when she noticed the chemistry between Noah and Lana her decision was made.
7. Someone else almost played Peter Kavinsky
Actor Jordan Bruchett who plays John Ambrose McClaren, who comes at the end of the movie, auditioned for the role of Peter Kavinsky.
8. Kitty’s statement necklace
I just realized Kitty has a “feminist” necklace. And she’s only 11. What an icon! pic.twitter.com/kFLZKW6mH8

Throughout the movie, Kitty wears a necklace that says “feminist” which just makes us love her even more.
9. Lana is Team Peter
There are many who are divided on the topic as to who is better, Peter Kavinsky or Josh Sanderson? But Lana Condor, who plays Lara Jean, has chosen her side. She is Team Peter all the way, “I think in a romantic partner, you want someone that pushes you out of your comfort zone, to break down your walls, and challenge you a little. And I think Peter challenges Lara Jean in a way Josh does not.”
10. A sequel might be in the works
It seems like everyone is on board with TATBILB’s sequel. The director is so in and “the whole team is attached contractually,” which is a good sign. Susan Johnson said that usually Netflix likes to wait a month to see how the movie does, but since it literally BLEW up, we’re pretty sure Netflix will be down to make another.
